V-day / B-day Mix!

I had so much fun this past week! It has been a week of festivities. Sadly, it is the first birthday I have not spent with my dad (who shares his birth-date on Feb. 14th as well!) but at least I was able to wish him happy birthday on the phone! I had a couple parties thrown for me by my roommates and other staff members, and I will be going out on a dinner-date with a new interest of mine...Nate Forney! So that is very exciting. Here is a picture of the cake that my roommate Meghan made for me:

We have been preparing for Spring Break to Orlando, FL for the past few weeks. I'm in charge of coming up with the Bible study curriculum for the week we're in FL. We should be taking around 120 students with us - so it will be a LOT of fun. A crazy long drive down there, but lots of fun!

The MACC conference was so much fun also. The drive was about 4 hours (and although the weather was bad at the beginning the last 2 hours we drove in better conditions.) Here is a picture of my car on the way to and from the conference - we call this our "family" photo:

You can see on the left behind me is Lauren (a sophomore) and then Paige (a junior - the girl I co-lead Tuesday night Bible study with), and then the driver is Nate! We had lots of talking time and fun conversations.

Here's a photo of me with some other staff women here:

From left to right it is Meghan and Janeen (my roommates), me, then Christine (my old roommate who moved out last semester because she got married) and then Megan (the staff woman who I have known now for 4 years!).

I also was able to go to a Matt Nathanson concert a few nights ago and was able to bring Lauren (girl from the MACC conference) along with me and my roommates Janeen and Meghan. That was a lot of fun!

Needless to say it has been a past couple weeks of lots of fun events, more Bible studies, more Nav Nights, and planning for some bigger upcoming events!
